I love giving new life to small furniture finds. Lately, I seem to be finding them all over the place. I picked up these two this past week.
This is how they started out.
I liked the lines on both, but they needed more personality.
Since the caning was destroyed on the bench, I just removed it. I added a little more embellishment to the frame and decided on white for the finish.
This brought out the detail. I then made a cushioned top from plain grainsack material to which I applied one of my popular graphic designs.
After finishing the bench, I decided to use a similar design on the small table. I added baby roses and gave it the same paint treatment.
I then used the same graphic design on top.
I think they look nice together. A Dainty Duo!
My garage is loaded with a multitude of eager candidates for redesign. Check back soon!

I have to finish some pieces I already have but more will be coming. Problem is......I don't know what the heck I'm doing yet...... I guess I'll just plunge into it with some so-so pieces and make some mistakes before taking on nicer pieces. LOVE LOVE LOVE what you did with the bench and table.
