Relaxing now, after a very nice show at Kane County. It was another hot one, but I came prepared. Honestly, more photos where taken of me than I had a chance to take. Here are some shots I managed to get before pieces started walking out the door.
I seriously considered keeping this.
This plaque was loaded with one of my favorite things, cherubs.
Oh well, the lady who purchased it was more than thrilled.
My friend Jim hung this in my booth. It was a nice added touch.
This needlework bench, dated 1941, also walked away with a very happy customer.
I caught this guy checking out my booth. He didn't buy a thing, and left abruptly.
I'll be sharing how I did the finish on these plaster pieces soon.
I sold a lot of furniture Saturday, and predominately smaller items Sunday. Overall, I was very happy with the weekend. Not just with sales, but I was pleasantly surprised at how many people introduced themselves as readers of my blog. I also met a fellow blogger. Lauren at My Wonderfully Made stopped by. I had a great time chatting and laughing with her and her husband. Hubby took a photo of she and I, and you just have to click on the link to see what she did.
I'll be back tomorrow to share more techniques and redesigns. Going to collapse now.
glad the show was a success. your pieces are beautiful, i knew they would sell fast.
ReplyDeleteI was there yesterday! But it was SO HOT that we didn't last long and I couldn't remember where you said your booth was! I was so bummed I missed you! E-mail me when you get a chance and let me know your booth location, I won't forget this time, I promise! Glad you had a successful weekend. And happy 4th.
