This is where we started. A $25 thrift store find.
I applied a different cherub on each side. I used black gesso on the top, and a blue/grey paint and primer mix on the base. Then I gave it a little distressing.
I made a mold to recreate the cherubs from this plaque.
On to the next.

ReplyDeleteOh I really like this. If I lived there I would be fighting other customers for this one. I love how you don't notice the detail of the table in the before picture, but the treatment you applied really makes things stand out. And the cherubs,....who doesn't love cherubs.

ReplyDeleteDon't know if you are a fan, but this reminds me of the episode of Gilmore Girls where Lorelei tells Luke she hates the cherub bedroom set he moved into the house. If someone had given me the before table, I would have hated it too - but you made it look so chic!
