Distressed Stand

I used a combination of techniques on this little stand.


You saw it before in my post "Working With Crackle", but I wasn't done with it yet.


This is how I found it.


As I said, I used a combination of techniques. I painted it with gesso. I applied white glue as my crackle medium. I used a lace design. I actually used netting, but same principle.  Today, I distressed it.




All done.

    I have a table I did like that. Dh thinks I took off to much paint.
    Now that I see yours I really like the look. Great transformation!

    Pretty table. I used a crackle technique once on an old sewing machine bench and also recovered the seat with some lovely yellow fabric with parrots on it. It turned out pretty good, at least my m-i-l thought so!

    I love the little table. I have one shaped like it and I have it in our tiny powder room where it holds extra TP, candles, and I have potpourri in a bowl on the bottom shelf.

    I also like the teaser picture, and I am very curious as to your next project. I love how you post these little teasers, Rosemary!

    Great combination of your wonderful techniques! How did the flea market go? We were there about 1 1/2 hrs. and then the dark skies scared us off. Found some great little bargains though!

    I love how you do your furniture!!
    Will need to go look at several posts to see how you gesso, what 'lace' it means, and so on.
