Vanity Bench

I picked up this vanity bench at a garage sale. It had no cushion and a very uneven finish.

I wanted a multi-layered look. So, I applied one layer each of grey, green, and black,

before finishing it off with a mixture of my white paint and gesso. Then I distressed it.

The cushion is a grain sack.  I just slid a standard size pillow in the opening. I added the image using my Splendid Blender method.

I've been asked where I get my images. Well, I've been collecting ephemera for many years.

When I was deciding which image to use, the perfume ad caught my eye.

Not bad for a $5 find.
