Watch the birdie.
While outside working on furniture today, I found myself staring down a birdbath I got earlier this year. It's been sitting by my garage getting uglier and uglier.
Hmmmm, who says it has to stay a birdbath? Why not something I can sit on a surface inside? After my lamp revamps I decided to do a little reconfiguring on this too. The top and bottom were just screwed in. So, I took it apart,
and eliminated the center. I screwed the top and base together,
gave it a coat of yellow paint, followed by my 50/50 mix of white paint and gesso. After a little distressing, it became a nice piece that's far more mobile. I can use it for a candle, jewelry, soap, whatever.
