Multi-Purpose

I have been tearing into projects so fast and furious lately, that I forget to take a before pic.  I thought I had one for this redesign, but I didn't.

This is an old magazine stand I painted white, and distressed with a coarse sanding pad.

The glass was on a table I redesigned.  I didn't want the glass after I was finished, so I just put it away.  After I finished the stand, I wondered if the glass would fit on top.

It did.  Now, it can be a table,

a display case,

or just a plain old mag or book stand.

My intention was to create a complimentary piece for one of my favorite iron urns.

Remember the firescreen table in my living room?

So many things can become a table.  If it has a flat top, try a piece of wood, glass, marble, etc., to create an interesting piece of furniture.

I'm working on a really cool piece.  Check back to see what this is.
