Okay, I feel better. I took a couple days off to get my pressure under control. Thanks for your concern. High blood pressure runs in my family, so I have to watch it. I also did a little organizing in the garage, and yes, I found more lamp and chandelier parts. I always pick them up at garage sales, and flea markets. So, I never quite run out of them. Here's another combo I put together to make a candle stand.
Isn't she lovely. She started like this. Three parts, from three different light fixtures.
and I used this,
and two nuts, to make her look like this.
I first sprayed her with an ivory paint/primer combo. Then did a dry brush using a 50/50 mix of white paint and gesso.
I'll share the desk everything is sitting on in another post. See ya soon.

WOW Rosemary this new combo is stunning! It's so amazing what you can do with lamp parts.

P.S. I'm glad your feeling better :)
She is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Rosemary. I'll bet you could come up with at least half a dozen different combos with those pieces.
ReplyDeleteOK Rosemary, I've had about all I can take! You are so freakin' creative!!! (hope I can say that without getting bleeped). She is so beautiful! I will never look at another lamp the same way. I transform lots of sad old lamps but usually leave them as is and just paint them to spruce them up and then make a gorgeous shade. Maybe one day we could have a "lamp off" competition :-)

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better, you poor, overworked girl! Sounds like your brain gets into creativity overdrive and your bp goes up? I wish I had a tenth of the creative brain cells you do. :) This gorgeous new piece is just more proof of how utterly talented and ingenious you are! ♥
