One Down

I have one burlap project down.  If you read my last post, you know I have quite a few possibilities left.

Last year, I did this similar redesign.  You can review the technique HERE.

This time, instead of a grain sack, I used burlap for the top.  I hand washed the burlap, to soften it. Next came the webbing.

The beginning.

I painted the legs an off white, and antiqued them with stain.

I'm going to be very busy this week.  I'm getting ready for two shows, followed by an annual event.  I'll give you the details soon.

  1. Hi Rosemary,
What a great fairly quick project. My favorite kind!
With that color ticking, I could also see the legs in a distressed red.
Great job, looks like a million bucks.

  26. That looks awesome, but burlap is on my short list of things I have a love/hate relationship with. I made some pillows today that went pretty smooth however.

  28. Wow, I'm in love with this. The webbing makes it so very cool. Great idea. I would love to try this. I guess the trick is to find the sacks. Haven't seen any in these parts.
