Here is the before.
I gave the bench the same paint treatment as the two drawer stand. So far, I haven't changed the original tattered fabric.
There's something charming about it. Or, maybe I'm just not up for it right now. lol I'll let you know if I change my mind.
No show this weekend, but I'm still very busy. Appointments, painting, creating, redesigning, filling orders, etc. All while trying to stay cool. We've had some interesting weather the past few days. Super hot, followed by a hail storm, a couple days of heavy rain, and back to hot. I'm grateful we didn't lose power. My prayers are with those of you dealing with storms, wild fires, power loss, etc.
See ya soon.

That little bench turned out so nice. For some reason I envisioned it as having a back and arms with it. Those benches can be used anywhere! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou little bench is so much more delicate in light colours! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty!!! I also like the little two drawer chest. The details of both are so much more a part of the pieces now. You do have a way with paint~~~wonderful as always.

Hi Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteI understand the charm of the original fabric, but I can also see one of your drop cloths with a cool transfer on it...

Both this and the stand are beautiful pieces. What type of paint do you typically use? Flat, satin, chalk?

ReplyDeleteYour bench is just gorgeous! I actually like the original fabric! But I will be curious whether or not you swap it out.
