Fleur-de-lis Paperweight

Sometimes I'm really surprised at which posts get the most attention.  Playing With Rocks" is now my third most pinned tutorial.  Well, here's another quick rock project.




Just follow my "Adding Dimension" tutorial.  I used a fleur-de-lis stencil, and wood filler for the raised image.  I gave it a few coats of gesso, and now I have a nice little paperweight.




Quick, quick, quick.

    That is such a creative idea. I always forget about raised stencils. That would be something fun to have young kids do to make as teacher gifts. Teachers can always use a cute paper weight! Of course, they wouldn't be as polished as yours. Ha!

    Ooooh how great is this, I have enough things going on in my life Rosemary and now you have added something else to it... LOL :)

    I love this, I wonder if you could do this with quick cement and make stepping stones and then use the cement for the Fleur de lis before the stone cement sets up ?

    A friend purchased an old mirror and it had a few roses off the side and I imediately told her to get gesso , she already knew .I thought you you right off , gesso makes everything better LOL
