Just follow my "Adding Dimension" tutorial. I used a fleur-de-lis stencil, and wood filler for the raised image. I gave it a few coats of gesso, and now I have a nice little paperweight.
Quick, quick, quick.

I know what you mean about being surprised over which posts get the most activity. Love your new rock paper weight!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really pretty!
ReplyDelete"clever girl" has struck again!! amazaaaaaaazong! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a creative idea. I always forget about raised stencils. That would be something fun to have young kids do to make as teacher gifts. Teachers can always use a cute paper weight! Of course, they wouldn't be as polished as yours. Ha!
ReplyDeleteQuick and lovely. If you don't mind me asking where do you check your stats for pins from your blog?
ReplyDeleteHmm...I have some rocks! Great tutorial!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! totally want to try that!!
ReplyDeleteAt a minimum I need to pick up a big ol' box of gesso so I can start doing some of these fun projects! :)

ReplyDeleteOoooh how great is this, I have enough things going on in my life Rosemary and now you have added something else to it... LOL :)
ReplyDeleteI love this, I wonder if you could do this with quick cement and make stepping stones and then use the cement for the Fleur de lis before the stone cement sets up ?
Going to try this Now !!!
thank you for inspiring and sharing.
