My head is all over the place right now. With the madness of my tag orders, and my show at Kane County this weekend, my living room is still on hold. All I've had time to do is start painting, and gathering inspiration for the color palette I'm leaning toward. I just grabbed a few things from around the house.
Being busy has it's downside. My surroundings have suffered. So, I have to reclaim my turf.
Who knows. I may change my mind this weekend. Whatever I settle on, hopefully I can get moving on it next week. Can't get my head around it yet.
Tag requests have kept me busy as well. I was asked if I could do a chandelier. Here's one I gave a layered finish.
I'm working on other designs, and whipping out appliques as well.
Gotta finish up a few vintage furniture pieces, figure out what else I'm bringing,
and make extra tags for the show. Back to work. See ya soon.

You do such beautiful work, and I love the crown!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I love your finishes.
ReplyDeleteYou tags are so lovely Rosemary! What a wonderful and unique idea! And I love the patina you have given them...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the busyness! Something does always suffer. Amidst my busyness, today I am tidying up! Sometimes it just has to be done so we can think and create!
It will all be good!

Ok, I have to admit I am usually a lurker, but I just noticed "Kane County" and didn't realize that you were somewhat close to me {Indiana's not that far} How did I not realize that before? I love everything you do and have a question so I am headed over to FB to pm you!!

I can totally relate with you Rosemary. I finished my living room a while back and then moved to my bedroom which I did finish painting this last weekend, but now no time to decorate. My yard and garden are now suffering as well since i desperately need to get out and cut everything back.
ReplyDeleteMy house has been put on hold for a couple years now and I'm paying for it, but liking it better each day and it will feel so good when all the rooms are redone and orderly again:-)
Good luck with everything!
Love the crown and the new chandelier tag Rosemary! FAA!! Girl just hearing all you have to do is making me tired! *winks* Vanna
ReplyDeleteOh I so know that 'behind at home' feeling.
ReplyDeleteMine has been neglected since I opened my store....and neglected more and more as I get busier.

ReplyDeleteLOVE your Crown!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat crown, Rosemary, and I love that table! I'm devoting a whole day to cleaning our house today. My son's been visiting {and then he was stuck here because of the storm in NY} and with working on my holiday market stuff, my house has suffered, too. I'm winding down on that now ~ thankfully.
ReplyDeleteYou are one busy girl Rosemary!! Love the chandy tags! Good luck this weekend!
ReplyDeleteRosemary, I love your tags; but like the others...I'm drooling over that crown!
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder you can't get around to your living room with all the things you have going on. I feel like my surroundings have suffered too...so many other things to do with all these shows and another craft faire this weekend. Wishing you the best show this weekend and looking forward to seeing your living room. Love your chandelier tag!!

Sounds like your business is doing well. Congrats! Your tags are wonderful so it's no surprise. I know what you mean about your surroundings suffering. There are days when I don't even get my dishwasher loaded. :o) Happy Weekend Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteRosemary! My goodness! You are one busy woman right now! That's what happens when you're so darned talented! Love the tags and appliques! I take it that your color scheme for your living room consists of greys/pewters and whites? I have similar in mind for our bedroom, whenever I can get to it. Hope you can get to your redo soon, but then again, I'm really happy for you for your success! Make sure you don't over-do and come up for air once in a while :) xoxo, Leena
