Painting Roses

No, I'm not doing a painting of roses, I'm" painting roses".

After painting, and plastering a metal heart, I thought I'd do the same to a fabric rose.  I painted it with a brush, so I could lay it on thick here and there.  I then glued it to the tip of the wire hanger from the underside.

I gave another plain frame the addition of a metal rose, and I added metal leaves as well.

Lots of layering, and texture.  This is very similar to the paint treatment I used on the frame seen HERE.

I thought it would make a nice little chalkboard.

I wanted to thank those of you who've purchased some of my creations on Etsy.  It's truly appreciated. I won't be doing another show until March, so my local customers, and my online shop are my focus right now.

I'm working on more tiaras.  The angel tiara went quickly, and so did all of my cherub plaques.

So, I have to get back to work.  See ya soon.

  8. So Pretty, this reminds me of a mirror I did about 8 years ago for my sister ~ I painted gesso on roses & leaves then glued them all around a mirror that was also painted.... it turned out so pretty (I wonder where she has that now?)
Have a great week & keep up the Creative flow!
