Let me just start by saying that I do not consider myself a photographer. I've taken more photos since starting this blog than I have in all my 53 years on this earth. However, every now and then, I'm really happy with a photo. While going through some of my favorites, I realized that they were mostly flowers. I also realized the common ground I mentioned.
The natural light streaming through the window helped a lot with these two shots.
The next two shots were taken outside. Again, natural light. It was slightly overcast on both days. Both shots were chosen for my feature in Romantic Homes.
Inside shot, midday, with natural light streaming through the window.
Outside shot.
Outside, of course.
I hope everyone of you have a great Valentine's Day.

Fantastic! Happy Valentines!
ReplyDeleteI still can't get over it that you're in your 50's Rosemary! So all your photo's are taken with your phone? Wow! I have a digital camera, it's very old now...about 8 years I think so I always have to tweak my pics in PicMonkey to get them to look halfway decent!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!!!
I can't believe their taken with your phone - I bought a camera because my photos were so crappy - and they still are lol..............
ReplyDelete53 - same age Rosemary!
Your photos are ( and always are ) gorgeous - so that's obviously another of your great talents!!!
Hugs,
Suzan
Happy Valentine's Day, my friend!

ReplyDeleteWell, that's incredible...I would have never guessed a phone camera.
ReplyDeleteWow, your images are tres chic!
Amazing! Your photos are great, each one! Sometimes when we don't mean it, they come out terrific..it has happened to me. I'm not a photographer like my daughter who's a pro-photographer and she's given me tips for blogging..before, I never even bothered, lol!! Have a wonderful VALENTINE'S rest of the day, along with your sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteFabby
Beautiful photos.I would have never guessed they weren't taken with a DSLR camera. Keep up the great work!

ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day, Rosemary. Thank you for the beautify and joy you bring into my life.
ReplyDeleteWow, hard to believe that all of your gorgeous photos were taken with a camera phone, Rosemary! They are amazing! Happy V Day!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I cannot shut my mouth. 53? No way! Secondly, of course YOU took those pics with a camera phone. Only an artist could make photos like that with a camera phone. Only an artist. Magnifique! Happy Valentine's Day my dear! xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeletePaula
Beautiful photos! And, have a Happy Valentine's Day!

I once read an article about photography. The author stated it's not the camera,it's the photographer that makes the difference. You are sure proof of that. Your are a true artist and photography is another art form. Your photos are always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey're all gorgeous! I never would have guessed they came out of a camera phone. Happy Valentine's Day to you:-)
ReplyDeleteYour 53 year old hand must be much steadier than my 54 year old hand! I would estimate that 75% of my phone pics are blurry from movement.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely Valentines Day

First of all, you look like a baby and much younger than 53. Secondly, you gave me such comfort in saying that you don't have a fancy camera. I love my little digital camera so I think I'll take your inspiration and start using my eyes, head and mind along with my little camera. Thanks and Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI always love your photos! It's amazing that they were all taken with a camera phone.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! You have one heck of a phone! LOL! You just have a natural eye for it...something some of us don't have (ME)! Happy Valentines Day, hope you have a great day with your family!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pendra
Wow! Amazing quality for that phone. Can't go wrong with lovely natural light. Happy Valentine's day Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosemary, for brightening my day with these beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt for a minute that you are able to take such gorgeous shots with your camera phone. There is nothing that you can't do... and do very, very well.♥ xoxo
A heart filled month of hearts, hugs, and kisses.
ReplyDeleteHappy February ...

It looks so beautiful over here.
Your photos are lovely. natural light is what makes pictures gorgeous..I agree. Can't wait to have more natural light!
ReplyDeleteWell, that just proves that it's more about an artistic eye than the equipment you use. I'd rather hear a great pianist on a crappy piano than a bad pianist on a concert grand. You have the eye girl!
ReplyDeleteHi Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos! Great job!
Love the little millinery bouquet.
Happy Valentine's!
All the Best,
Christine
Ok, 53...no way. You look 30!
ReplyDeleteFunny, by the end of the post if you hadn't mentioned what type of camera you use, I was gonna ask! Beautiful photographs!!!
Blessings,
Cind
I absolutely adore the one of the peat pots, Rosemary! All of them are lovely! And I so get the phone pics. I did some shots I really loved with my Canon point and shoot. I do have to say though, that I am in love with my Nikon dslr I got for Christmas. In May I hit 55! Always a pleasure to see what you're up to!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Becky
You take amazing photos with your phone!Yes natural light is the best.I was told by a photographer that the garage with the door open is the best place to take photos because of the natural light.

I don't have a phone like most people, but I am constantly amazed at the quality photos my friends take with their phones! These are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJeanette
That's some phone! Who cares what you took them with? They're great! Thanks for the "confession."
ReplyDeleteNo way you're 53! I thought you were in your 30s. You look amazing. Love your flower photos. I'm surprised the magazine could use a photo taken with a phone camera. I learn something new everyday!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures Rosemary! I would have never guessed you took the pictures with your phone.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Some phones take fabulous photos, my Blackberry does. Someone from Romantic Homes asked me to send them photos from my blog... they may be in the June edition where they highlight interesting blogs. I hope I find the one that has your photos in it.
ReplyDeleteCon los dias tan frios que tenemos aqui, me ha gustado mucho las composiciones de flores que has puesto. ´Es rodo un avance de primavera que ya tengo ganas de que llegue.
ReplyDeleteBesos.
