Whenever I find myself dozing off on the couch, I know it's time to chill a bit.
I worked on small projects like this faded blue bundle. I tinted a copy of my vintage script,
and decoupaged it to the book cover. The wrinkles are intentional.
A vintage key, hemp twine, and a couple dried rose buds makes it complete.
The sun is shining here, and Spring is trying it's best to come forth. So, I'm lightening up some of my projects, and, sometimes simple is enough.
I've been wanting to add something to this old wood crate I painted, and added horseshoe handles to.
After considering a multitude of complicated options, I decided to go for simple.
I just grabbed one of my rubber stamps, and "Paris" letters from my stash.
Instead of stamping directly on the crate, I made my design on tissue, and decoupaged it to the side. The surface is not smooth, so I had more control over the image this way. I wanted a distressed label look.
I used white tissue, so it still kinda looks like I stamped it on.
A simple addition. I have a tendency to over think things sometimes.
I have four more crates this size. I may keep them simple, or.............
I also pulled out some of my finds from earlier in this year.
I love these vintage wire baskets, with their original green paint. Originally hanging baskets, the chain is long gone, but they have their peat pots. I don't come across these very often.

In addition to multiple baskets, I have rusty wire hearts.
Back to multiples.
I found these salesman samples at an estate sale. Hmmmm, I have a few ideas. What do you think?
I have a bunch of organizing to do. See ya soon.
Cannot wait to see what you come up with! As usual, all your creations are beautiful.

Love the book bundle and the crate! Hope that their light touch will bring spring on! Quite a stash of rubber stamps you have there, young lady! LOL! I had a bunch of those wire baskets one year and was going to try to make a chandelier out of one and an above bed fabric cascade thingie with one, but they didn't quite work out. Maybe I'll find some more sometime and try it again LOL! Enjoy your projects and I'm glad you got a little rest! Hugs, Leena
