Then, she stared at me.
"Are they for sale?", I asked again, kindly.
"I guess so, if you want them", she responded.
Well, yes I did.
All I've done, is clean them up. I love, love, love the imperfections,
The distressed silvering, the rust.......
One of them has, what looks to be a postmark in the silvering. So cool.
So, how about you?
Do you love the perfectly imperfect?
Needless to say, I got them for a VERY good price.
See ya soon.

Good score.
Don't you love finding stuff that others don't value so that you get a bargain? These are gorgeous!!

ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful.....love them
Fine day
I would have snagged them too! Great find!
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting how some of us appreciate the imperfect isn't it? I found a mirror with some of the backing peeling away and the girl at the counter said, "I guess it's so cheap because it's no good any more" ...oh my....it's a good thing God doesn't say that about me! What with all my bad spots and everything......keep on saving the throwaways....like HE does! blessings!
ReplyDeleteLove them, I have purchased old mirrors for inside of my dish cabinets
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful much prettier than my etching mirrors
I have learned true antique dealers think these are trash items, I have been told by antique dealers today's collectibles are trash ! That's OK by me I love em
And of course the price always is fun also
bring on the trashy beautiful mirrors
Score!!! Those are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose are a great find! I agree that they look even better with age.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mirrors! What a lucky gal you are. Blessings, Patti
ReplyDeleteLove. Great find.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the aged mirrors...they have such great character..and that postmark is so interesting!!!...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Rosemary, The mirrors are wonderful. I would use a mirror like the one (or both) on table tops laying flat. Some of us aged items (like me) still reflect beauty. Love you and your ideas. Blessings
ReplyDeleteRoasemary,
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds, I love vintage aged mirrors. They have so much character.

What a great find, I adore them. The one with the stamp is screaming take me, take me! Patty/BC
ReplyDeleteThey are perfectly gorgeous! Way nicer than anything *new*. I have an old, distressed "ghost" mirror with heavy gesso details at the top of it, and it is lovely, but these two of yours take the cake. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Rosemary! I love all of their wonderful signs of aging, perfectly imperfect indeed!
