The lilacs also look good in my boxes, and in this little drawer.
This is what the drawer looked like before.
I transformed it with paint, script, and stain. In that order. A white basecoat, followed by script, then, the stain.
I added a little script inside as well.
The script is decoupaged on.
More copies from my 175 year old diary.
Maybe it's the crazy long winter we had here,
or, the fact that I'm trying to slow down and recharge a bit,
but, I've been enjoying the outdoors a lot more lately. See ya soon.

Gorgeous photos! Love the look of the pretty lilacs in your decoupaged drawers!!
ReplyDeleteOh such gorgeous pictures!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's odd, Rosemary, but I actually got goosebumps seeing those pictures. That's weird, but true.
There's something about them I really really love, apparently, haha.
I am SO GLAD you are taking a natural outdoor breather. It's important to get away from paint fumes sometimes. You will rejuvenate your creative senses if you can just spend time with wonderful and precious Mother Earth for a bit.
Good for you, you have earned it.
Well, I guess I felt so strongly about that neato drawer I just bought it. Thank you for your wonderful shop, Rosemary. I always love nearly every single thing you make or make-over.
ReplyDeleteThe drawers turned out beautifully, Rosemary! I love everything about them. Your lilacs are just so stunning and they look good posing with the drawers.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous lilacs! I bet they smell so good! My bush is in full bloom too and when the breeze blows in the window, I can detect their delicate scent. Great transformation on that drawer - very pretty! Enjoy spring now that it is finally here (I hope. We're still getting frost warnings at night) Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteLove the drawers, the lilacs and everything.

ReplyDeleteNow, I think I'll stop and pick up some drawers I saw on my way to work. :)

Rosemary, This no longer looks like a drawer, instead like a gorgeous piece of art. Loving your lilacs! Years ago, my husband and I lived in an old house where the backyard was surrounded in large profusely blooming lilac bushes, the backyard was Eden!
