I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. I've received these types of emails, and knew to delete them.
If you're on FB, and you receive a friends request from someone who is already a friend, BEWARE. If you're a blogger, and you receive a suspicious email requesting info, be careful as well.
If this happens to you. Change your passwords immediately, do a security check, check your account activity, alert your email provider, etc. I checked my activity, and found out my evil twin was in Brazil.
Anyway, things seem to be back to normal today. If anyone receives spam from someone claiming to be me from this point on, let me know. Thanks.
I'm working on projects today, AND, keeping an eye on my email.
Sincerely,
The REAL Rosemary
So sorry you were hacked Rosemary. Such a shame that there are people out there doing stuff like this.. I don't understand why anyone would want to.
ReplyDeleteBut I guess it takes all kinds. My evil twin was in Canada :-/
Glad you got it sorted.
Hugs, Gee
I received an email from you and clicked on it. Bad me. It was really odd and didn't seem like you at all. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about that! Got an email but saw it was spam so I deleted it. Same thing happened to my sis in VA yesterday. Hackers really need to find a new hobby!
ReplyDeleteJeanine
My email was hacked too. It's a real drag. People sure can take the fun out of life sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYou're the second blogger to report being hacked! I recently received an email from someone claiming there was suspicious activity on my bank card. The thing that made me believe it was a scam was that I don't bank with the bank they said it was from. The creepy thing was they had my picture on the email that had been taken by my husband at a restaurant on his iphone! Just crazy!!! I deleted the email.
ReplyDeleteI hate when that happens. It has happened to me once. It's annoying and disheartening. But I am glad that everything is looking okay for you now.
ReplyDelete:-D
Glad you got it straightened out!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, what is wrong with people? Why would they hack an email? I guess I'm so busy working and have little time to truly read about these hackers, I'm confused.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got it straightened out.
I just deleted an email from an unknown sender, it looked hacked to me. So sad.
OI Rose, olha sou Brasileira, mas não foi eu,eu amo o seu blog e sempre estou por aqui, sinto muito por isso viu? UM bj no seu coração.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteI just had that happen to me in the past few weeks. I had to change my password and do a security check too. So I understand your frustration. I did receive a spam from you but just deleted it. Glad you changed your pass word and did the security check.
Kris
So sorry you had to go through all of that Rosemary! I did get one from "you" and knew immediately that was what happened but saw you had already said something on FB about it. Glad things are getting back to normal for you! :-)
ReplyDeleteVanessa

ReplyDeleteI am still locked out of my Pinterest account. My evil twin is in Vietnam...I'm glad you are sorted Rosemary~~Sumaya
ReplyDeleteRosemary , sorry that happened to you ! I received a email from Pay Pal yesterday telling me someone had tried to use my account . The last time I used it was when I ordered the vintage script from you !! You might need to check that out !! I don't know how someone can try to use another persons Pay Pal ... Be careful !

Hi the real Rosemary, so glad that you got everything taken care of. My husband is my IT man and he constantly tells me to be careful. He installed pretty heavy security on my computer a long time ago. He always tells me I still can't be too careful. He is always checking my computer.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
My daughter's email has been hacked a couple of time. It's a real pain in the __. Glad you've gotten it all straighten out.
ReplyDeleteA friend who is a computer wise guy said passwords should have a minimum of 13 characters - including letters, numbers and symbols. I changed both my email and facebook accounts following these guidelines and haven't been hacked since. Just an FYI to you, your followers and other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteGood work, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got it all sorted out! I deleted the email that was NOT from you!
AND I bought some grey Gesso today! Can't wait to try it on a picture frame! I will elt you know how it goes!
Hugs and hearts to you,
Betsy
