I created this little sign/door hanger with wood, wire,
vintage paper, ink, and vintage millinery pieces.
The back has been scripted.
I picked up some vintage cones at an estate sale recently. They were originally intended to hold twine. I envisioned script. I'll probably add a few faux blossoms.
Before and after.
I going to play with more millinery pieces.
See ya soon.
Hi Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creation as always. I missed seeing you at the Arboretum antique market today. Thought you might be there. It was a nice show. Have a great start to your week.

More adorable creations, Rosemary! I really like them! Love those velvety leaves with your milinary flowers - so pretty! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteLove these creations--really love the cones!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty, pretty!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Very pretty indeed. I love the millinery pieces -- and I've never seen those twine cones before -- fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. I love what you did with that plain cone, so simple, but it has a huge impact.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the cones! With the script and the gorgeous millinery embellishments, they have the look of something my very romance oriented great grandmother might have had hanging by a ribbon on her vanity mirror.(as she referred to it as her "powder and perfume" table. I loved spending time with her there looking at her finery and listening to her tell me about each treasure. Thank you for the wonderful memories Rosemary.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous post! Thank you for the treat! :)

Hello, do you have a tutorial on scripting? I love it but have no idea where to start. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove your creations, as always!

Thanks for your nice note, Rosemary! Love the projects you're working on. xo
ReplyDeleteThat's so pretty Rosemary! I hear you on the humidity thing, getting used to the Florida humidity has been quite a challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful Rosemary!...Been rather hot here too these past couple of days...not much humidity though...escaped that when we moved from Florida!
ReplyDeleteThey are both so pretty Rosemary.
ReplyDeleteIs the script paper? I'd love to find some.
Rosemary, gorgeous projects. I really love those cones. The script is stunning. I assume they are from your collection?
