Brocante and Cones

It's been hot and humid here the past few days.  I've been hanging out inside, making pretty little things.

I created this little sign/door hanger with wood, wire,

vintage paper, ink, and vintage millinery pieces.

The back has been scripted.

I picked up some vintage cones at an estate sale recently.  They were originally intended to hold twine.  I envisioned script.  I'll probably add a few faux blossoms.

Before and after.

I going to play with more millinery pieces.

See ya soon.

  1. Hi Rosemary,
Beautiful creation as always. I missed seeing you at the Arboretum antique market today. Thought you might be there. It was a nice show. Have a great start to your week.

  5. These are so pretty. I love what you did with that plain cone, so simple, but it has a huge impact.

  6. LOVE the cones! With the script and the gorgeous millinery embellishments, they have the look of something my very romance oriented great grandmother might have had hanging by a ribbon on her vanity mirror.(as she referred to it as her "powder and perfume" table. I loved spending time with her there looking at her finery and listening to her tell me about each treasure. Thank you for the wonderful memories Rosemary.
