It Started With Beads

My latest redesign started with a bunch of vintage wooden beads I picked up at an estate sale.

Bags, and bags of vintage beads in various shapes, and sizes.  I love the muted colors.

While making tags for a client, I had an idea.

Cut pieces of wood, drill a hole, gather the beads,

apply, and varnish the image.  Next, I strung the beads with hemp twine.

You can still see hints of the imperfections in the wood.  That was intentional.  So was the distressing.

What do you think?  It's a good size.  About 5-1/2" x 3-1/4".  With the beads, it's about 20" long.

I've already sold one of these designs on my Etsy. I'm working on various bead configurations, and different images.

Hey, thanks to my newest digital download customers.  I sincerely appreciate every order, and the generous feedback.  I'll do my best to get new images listed over the weekend.

Back to work.  See ya soon.
