The best part of this project was, after I had the basic image done, I was encouraged to experiment a bit. You're not suppose to have an exact match, just use the recipes, and techniques provided. I went a little further with the variation of colors.
Here is the FARRAGOZ example.
Although I'm not finished with it, this is how mine looks right now. I'm planning to tweak it a bit, and do a little more distressing.
After I complete this, I'll be on to the next project. This clock face.
I have to say, I'm having fun with this. I'm already using the techniques on some of my redesigns, including gesso made with an old world recipe.

Hi Rosemary! Wow! You've done an awesome job! You are such a talented lady! Thanks for sharing your art! Blessings from Bama!
ReplyDeleteThis is very beautiful! Hugs, Janice
ReplyDeleteI have to say I think I like your version better. I love the variations of light and dark colors. Sounds (and looks!) like you're having fun!
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful, Rosemary! I love how it looks even as it is now. Looking forward to seeing the clock, too.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Rosemary...I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI am taking the same course. I'm encouraged to see your icon. The hardest part for me was finding the right kinds of powered pigments and the lime that was needed. We are set for life with all of our lime needs.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see more. You are the best.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Rosemary.
ReplyDeleteShe looks gorgeous!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love your rendition! Beautiful technique. The shadows are lovely to my eye.

Yours looks beautiful. Is Farragoz an online course that you can take no matter where you live?
ReplyDeleteRosemary, Yours turned out wonderful! I have just started on my Farragoz project and will be posting soon.

Rosemary, as always, this is a quite unusual and quite beautiful project. (I would expect nothing less from you, creative genius) Can't wait to see your clock, I am clock obsessed!
ReplyDeleteBlind choice I think I'd choose yours.None the less, Bravo Brave Girl! Such care to History and detail, yet all yours. What was that you say about an ' old world gesso recipe' ? Now what would that be?(:
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your iconic piece being duly finished.
Oh Rosemary...that is so very beautiful!!!...and looking forward to what you will be doing with that face of a clock!
ReplyDeleteAm taking the course also but having trouble finding the ingredients. Especially the powdered pigments. Have any suggestions as to maybe an online source?
ReplyDeleteRosemary you are truly amazing, such talent. I am never surprised how your projects turn out!!!
