Beautiful Broken Angel

My husband brought her home to me,

and knew I'd love her,

in all her flawed glory.  She's composition, and over three feet tall.

Yes, she has issues, but, don't we all.  She only has one wing,

but, she has great detail.

I think she's beautiful. She reminds me of an old relic.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her yet, but, I have a few ideas.

  1. She is beautiful and probably lost her wing saving someone else. Now your home will save her. Blessings Dear...

  7. I will probably have to go to confession for coveting your angel. Just kidding. She is perfectly imperfect. Your husband is pretty great in sensing what makes you happy. Love them both. Pam

  8. I am so glad your husband rescued this angel. She needs your love and appreciation for the beauty she is. I did not notice the missing wing until you mentioned it. I can see her with flowers in front like she is holding a bouquet which would hide her missing hands. There is beauty in being an imperfect relic -- I know as I am an imperfect relic! Love you.

  12. Oh my, you do have a treasure. Not your one-winged angel, although she is beautiful. No, the treasure i am talking about is your husband. He is definitely in tune with what is beautiful. Plus, you must be extra special for him to take such care of angels.

  13. She is not broken, but made stronger with just one wing. Look how beautiful she remains and how tall she still stands. I love her. Your husband is an angel for bringing her home to you.

  14. I have to agree with Judy, Rosemary. Your husband IS an angel for bringing her home to you. She is absolutely beautiful - even with one wing. Knowing you, you'll think of some creative way to make her a new one in that magical way of yours. ♥

  20. That is a beautiful angel for you to work on. One or two of your photos of your angel do not show up. There is just a "frame" with a "red X" in the upper left hand corner. I've had that today from another blogger. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

  30. one of my favorite quotes....and i can't remember the sayer of said quote....is: we are each of us angels with only one wing; and we can only fly by embracing each other. that's what your sweet and lovely angel reminded me of. the need to embrace each other so that we can truly soar. i have no idea you'll do something amazing with her. she really is lovely.

  31. My first thought was..."I love her with one wing. Wonder what that says about me?" Then I read Auntie Jenni's comment above...Wow! What a beautiful quote! She couldn't have landed in a better place.

  34. She is beyond gorgeous! I adore cherubs and angels. They do remind me of people, some tattered and torn and somehow so much richer and wiser from the experience. I wrote about my concrete angel in my new office space - you might enjoy. Your husband did good!
