and knew I'd love her,
in all her flawed glory. She's composition, and over three feet tall.
Yes, she has issues, but, don't we all. She only has one wing,
but, she has great detail.
I think she's beautiful. She reminds me of an old relic.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her yet, but, I have a few ideas.
In the mean time, I'm just enjoying my beautiful broken angel.

She is beautiful and probably lost her wing saving someone else. Now your home will save her. Blessings Dear...
ReplyDeleteYes, ma'am, we defin. ALL have issues and flaws..............and I can't wait to see what -if when you do- create from this lovely angel.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!!

Oh, I love that angel. She is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh, Rosemary, I love your beautiful broken angel! She's perfect just the way she is.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
I will probably have to go to confession for coveting your angel. Just kidding. She is perfectly imperfect. Your husband is pretty great in sensing what makes you happy. Love them both. Pam
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your husband rescued this angel. She needs your love and appreciation for the beauty she is. I did not notice the missing wing until you mentioned it. I can see her with flowers in front like she is holding a bouquet which would hide her missing hands. There is beauty in being an imperfect relic -- I know as I am an imperfect relic! Love you.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosemary, with your talent and ability I am sure you will make her shine again!!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Holy heck Rosemary, she's gorgeous!!! You can give her to me if you like:)
ReplyDeleteYour husband has an amazing eye for beautiful treasures!
So nice of your husband to bring her home! She's beautiful, bumps and all! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteOh my, you do have a treasure. Not your one-winged angel, although she is beautiful. No, the treasure i am talking about is your husband. He is definitely in tune with what is beautiful. Plus, you must be extra special for him to take such care of angels.
ReplyDeleteShe is not broken, but made stronger with just one wing. Look how beautiful she remains and how tall she still stands. I love her. Your husband is an angel for bringing her home to you.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Judy, Rosemary. Your husband IS an angel for bringing her home to you. She is absolutely beautiful - even with one wing. Knowing you, you'll think of some creative way to make her a new one in that magical way of yours. ♥

I think we've all broken a wing or two here and there on our flight through life - she's perfect in all her imperfectness!
ReplyDeleteYour husband needs to travel the U.S. and teach a Junking 1A class. She's stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh Rosemary what a beautiful treasure your hubby brought home. She is so gorgeous. I love all her details too. Oh the stories she could tell. I cannot wait to see what you do with her. Something about her draws you in. Once you get her done I may have to have her. She is capturing my heart.
ReplyDeleteKris
She is beautiful, Rosemary! What a sweet husband to bring her home to you.

Love the Detail!

That is a beautiful angel for you to work on. One or two of your photos of your angel do not show up. There is just a "frame" with a "red X" in the upper left hand corner. I've had that today from another blogger. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

ReplyDeleteOh Rosemary, your precious husband knows what you love now, doesn't he? I love broken things as well...as they represent our lives, not perfect, broken but always, always loved by our precious Creator! I'm thinkin' she's a keeper, just to remind you of love. xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteShe been rescued! I know you will do a creative restoration on her and show everyone she is not garbage. Love how you recognize the beautiful metaphor of life in art.
ReplyDeleteShe's imperfectly perfect! Your hubby is a keeper for sure :)

one of my favorite quotes....and i can't remember the sayer of said quote....is: we are each of us angels with only one wing; and we can only fly by embracing each other. that's what your sweet and lovely angel reminded me of. the need to embrace each other so that we can truly soar. i have no idea you'll do something amazing with her. she really is lovely.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was..."I love her with one wing. Wonder what that says about me?" Then I read Auntie Jenni's comment above...Wow! What a beautiful quote! She couldn't have landed in a better place.
ReplyDeleteYour hubby has such a great eye for the things you love...i am sure that you will bring back the beauty to that angel....beauty of which she so deserves.
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, hugs Biljana
She is beyond gorgeous! I adore cherubs and angels. They do remind me of people, some tattered and torn and somehow so much richer and wiser from the experience. I wrote about my concrete angel in my new office space - you might enjoy. Your husband did good!

I collect broken angels. I love the texture and the patina of yours. Send her over - she will fit right in. I read the post about your weekend sale. Boy, I wish I was a thousand miles nearer!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful she is. I think she probably found you knowing she would be loved. Can't wait to see what you do with her. I'll follow you so I can come back and see :)
ReplyDeleteas touching :)She is beautiful
ReplyDeleteNone of us are perfect Rosemary, and besides, I think your angel is adorable in her shabbiness.
