The demand for my clock faces continues. Here's another variation.
This frame was just perfect for one of my hand painted clock faces. So, I cut a piece of wood to fit, and went to work.
After painting, framing, and distressing my clock face, I thought there was too much blank space.
I didn't want anything too busy, because it would fight for attention with the frame.
I decided on a simple band of distressed white. It was just enough.
It's 37" from top to bottom, and I'm loving it.
I used the homemade paint recipes from my Farragoz course for the frame, and the clock. I haven't decided if I'm going to antique it yet.
What do you think?

I think it would look really nice antiqued...but it's beautiful just as it is. Great job as usual!

ReplyDeleteThe patina is so lovely. I am not sure about the antiquing over the frame. I would try a touch of gray glaze to see if that would work for you.
