Still chipping away with my paint finishes.
I went nuts with both the wood heart, and, the key. Lots of layers, and chipping.
One of my cross hearts. A little more distressed than the other ones.
Here's another heart and key.
A small composition frame.
I created a dimensional fleur-de-lis on board,
followed by lots of chipping.
A paper mache box, with a fleur-de-lis applique.
Before I go, I just had to share what my friend Sandy of For the Love of White did with one of my cross hearts she purchased from my shop. She found the perfect spot for it.

Love your new things and ADORE where she put her new heart.
ReplyDeleteWell done to you both.
You are the master of the aged finish! The heart is perfect between the wings. What fun to see your creation in it's new home.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the extra distressing--love how old it makes things look. Like they have a story to tell. I'm honored you posted my photos--I do think that cross/heart found its perfect spot in my home :) So happy with my purchase!

Stunning pieces Rosemary. I read Behind the Spotlight today, had the catch up. Loved it and was wondering if that frame with the un on top in that picture is t he one that is around the mirror I purchased from you?? It looks so similar.

Love your heart with the angel wings and all your other creations, too. You are the best! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of looking at all of your awesome chippiness, Rosemary. You have perfected this technique beyond belief! I love what Sandy did with your heart. Adding the wings truly makes the whole vignette just soar. :) Beautiful, girlfriend! Just beautiful!!!!

The chippy key heart is perfection. I love how she styled the one she purchased with the wings.
ReplyDeleteLoving your chippy results. That vignette with your Angel Cross Heart is stunning! Creative Bliss...
ReplyDeleteYour beribboned heart and key are one of the prettiest creations of layering and chipping I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly, they look so soft and fragile, like a gift tied with a bow.
You do such a great job with the layers of paint etc that you use to make the piece look old. If I saw that in a shop, I would never know it had a former life as something else. That heart looks like it belongs on those wings, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love the color of the key and heart and of course your perfectly authentic looking finishes.
ReplyDeleteYou have certainly made many interiors of homes happy with your beautiful designs!!…the heart looks magnificent with the wings!...
