Why I decided to open it was the predominate query.
Here are a few of the reasons.
You can open a shop for FREE, and, list up to 50 items per month on Zibbet. There is no charge for listing an item, and, there are no commission/sales fees. Your only cost is for the payment transaction. You have the option to upgrade for a low monthly fee if you choose.
The focus is on handmade,
and vintage.
Although I've only had my Zibbet shop open a few days, so far, I'm very happy.
With the creativity flowing, this was the perfect time for me to dive into this new venture.
All this being said, I will reopen my Etsy soon. I've decided to do both. There are still good reasons for me to maintain a presence there.
I have other endeavors in the works as well. I'll keep you posted.

However, for now, you can,
See ya soon.
This is NOT a paid post. My decision to sign up as a seller on Zibbet was my own. I am simply sharing information with my readers. All opinions are based on my experience so far.
I was wondering about that but didn't want to ask. ;) I've had one sale on Zibbet. My shop is in vacation mode now for when I decide to dedicate more time to it. Let us know when your Etsy opens again!

I had not heard of Zibbet. I will go over to look. I looked at your shop, but need to explore more.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like your shop on Zibbet! It's amazing! I like the way it's set up. I will browse around and check that site out.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck to you, your art is amazing and will sell quickly.
Zibbet seems to be for the Indy crafter and hopefully will remain friendly. Etsy seems to have opened the doors to too many "commercial" ventures. Just my opinion. Happy selling...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good plan to me. I'm going over to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHi, I have adored and admired your work for about a year now since I found you....I opened an Etsy Shop in May 2013 and have been very disappointed in traffic/sales. Have a booth locally, but was excited to see there may be another outlet from this post!! I will check it out thanks to you.....love love love your artistic work....thanks for sharing all your tips...(etsy: no108bellavista)..Susanne Talbot
ReplyDeleteLove the idea that Zibbet is focused on handcrafted and vintage, Rosemary. It makes it a unique and special place to find treasures. :) I may be picking your brain soon about it all - as I have been throwing the idea around of opening my own Etsy or Zibbet shop.... :)

Everything you do is so beautiful. xoxo
ReplyDeleteMakes since to me to do the new thingie site however most of us have never heard about it till you mentioned it.
ReplyDeleteSo since the word is out in blog land maybe it will catch on .
I've bought several things on Zibbet and have been very pleased with my purchases. I did recently go back to buying on Esty too, only because there's so much more selection on there and it's easier to navigate my favorites. I'm very careful about who I purchase from though, being handmade is important to me.
ReplyDeleteI thinking selling on both is a great idea!
This is the very first time I've ever heard of zibbet... I'm off to visit your shop!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day,
Lin
