I added a little extra age to 1800's ledger page fragments with my own antiquing solution, and decoupaged it. This is the back.
I used one of my rusty metal crowns on top. It fits snugly, but, I didn't attach it permanently. It's more of a decorative adornment.
I'm just gonna hibernate, and, create.
Love the altered bottle. I do not know if I could part with my vintage ledger pages. I always have to find a project worthy of them. The crown is the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I think all of this snow is bringing out the creative genius in everyone.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Rosemary! I love it with the crown and that it is not permanent.
ReplyDeleteYour document bottle looks wonderful~~~love the little crown on top!!! Great combination.

Another fun bottle creation, Rosemary! The crown is, well, the crowning touch! Can't believe that snow, when is spring going to arrive?!

Hibernate and create! Love that! Your embellished bottle is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWinter hibernate and create just go perfectly together. Lovely altered bottle with crown. Creative Bliss...
ReplyDeleteI love the bottle--the crown looks so good on it. Hibernate and create sounds like such a plan--my problem is I have been doing more hibernating than creating! Love my most recent angel with the little crown I got from you :)
ReplyDeleteThat ledger page really works well as a bottle label! The snow has been falling steadily here for hours. Looks like another snow day for sure.
ReplyDeleteDo you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long Cccam Server as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage? My website is in the very same niche as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this ok with you. Appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteHoney we got more snow too this morning but then it turned into a rainy mess. Bleah! Love your bottle. You aged that paper to perfection!
ReplyDeleteJeanine
Love it Rosemary...every little thing about your bottle all the way up to the pretty crown is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteWe got more snow too but from what I hear warmer temps are on the way soon!
XO Barbara
So pretty Rosemary and I love that little crown. I wish I could be creative right now. I miss it so much and it would take my mind off this horrible weather.
ReplyDeleteVery cool label and the crown is the perfect embellishment!
ReplyDeleteI really like the bottle, especially with the unattached pretty crown. But then what do you alter that I don't like?!
ReplyDeleteAlways an inspiring visit to your blog.
We too had snow last night. Seems like a daily event.
Vera
What a beautiful and unique looking bottle you created! Sorry to hear that the snow isn't letting up in your area. I couldn't believe it when I read on someone's blog in Texas that their temp was 81 degrees! Gasp!! We're enjoying a nice warmp up here in GA, but not that warm.
ReplyDeleteI love your bottle! The crown idea is very inspiring :) Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love your bottle! I have a few hanging around that would look perfect done up like this. I'll have to decide what paper to use, thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDebbie :)
Did you learn how to make these in the Farrogoz course? Or are you just now taking that course? I am considering enrolling. Do you have any comments or suggestions about that course?
ReplyDeleteI love this, Rosemary!!
