That includes keys. I have hundreds of them.
The past few days, I've been experimenting a bit with finishes. I used a variety of mediums on them, to get the look you see here.
I like the results. Rust, patina, and, variations of color.
While I played with keys, I decided to make some of my mini crowns.
Cutting, and, manipulating salvaged metal is one of my favorite things to do.
Things are about to get really busy around here. I'll be doing a pop-up market next month, and, other shows throughout the year.
I have other announcements as well. I'll share with you soon, as details unfold.

I adore your metal crowns Rosemary!!! I can't wait to hear the announcement.
ReplyDeleteI love the patina you create! Of course, your mini crowns almost make me weep! LOL
ReplyDeleteAs always, your crowns look great, Rosemary! : ) Look at all those keys. You know, I'm sure I have keys just laying around in drawers that who knows what they go to now. I should round them all up and put them in my craft room to use on projects.
ReplyDeleteYour keys look great--and I always love your crowns. Can't wait to hear your new announcements :)
ReplyDeleteYOu do a beautiful job on your crowns, Rosemary. Those keys look wonderful with your "treatment"...like old ones that had been unearthed from the cellar of an old house somewhere- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWonderful keys!
ReplyDeleteKeys intrigue me and your finishes make them all the better. I adore your "excavated" crowns. I await your exciting announcement...
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your crowns. Your keys are so pretty. I tried the vinegar solution on my pile of keys and it did not bring up the patina that you have accomplished so well. Yours are truly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've been admiring your finishes for ages. I'm considering taking the Farragoz course. Did you learn the rust & patina through them as well?
ReplyDeleteRosemary,
ReplyDeleteThe tease is so worth the wait. Your creativity is boundless. I so enjoy visits to see what you are currently working on.
happy Valentines day,
Vera
Love those little crowns Rosemary! I can't wait to hear what you're coming up with next:)
ReplyDeleteI just love those mini crowns. So darn adorable! And thanks to you, I've now saved two cans to use the glue/paint method you blogged about a few days ago. I can't wait!

Beautiful keys! The finishes turned out really unique! I don't know what it is about old keys, but I love them. I think it's the mystery of where they came from, what door they opened. Hope all your plans are going well - can't wait to hear all you've been up to! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteI always love keys and crowns, and yours do not disappoint!
