While I continue to recoup from my show, I thought I'd give my readers another chance to win a FREE 12 month online "FARRAGOZ, The Art of Patina" painting course.

Because I'm moving into my busiest time of year, I've slowed down with the course, due to time restraints, and upcoming events.  However, I can truly say that I've thoroughly enjoyed the course thus far. The clock face was probably my favorite project.

I gave the design my own spin, multiple times.

I've also enjoyed creating my own designs, using the paint recipes from the course.

I'm Toast

Thanks for all the prayers, and, well wishes regarding my vehicle issues.  The second (and last) day of my show is over, and, I'm toast.

Although my van was down, a very good friend transported me, and, my merchandise to the market.  We shared a large space.

Thank God for friends.  Rhonda, you're the best.

I'm sorry, I did not take a bunch of pics.  I was INCREDIBLY busy the first day.  I mean, we were MOBBED.  A LOT disappeared within the first half hour of opening.

I was sooooo happy to meet quite a few of my readers.  Thanks to all of you who came out.  I'm very grateful for my old, and, new customers.

The second day was a success as well.  I'm going to try to get some serious rest this weekend.

Just A Few Pics

I snapped a few shots while I worked in my studio.

I have so much going on right now.  Good, and, bad.  My van is down, and, I'm doing a show next week.  Really bad timing.

So, I have to get back to work, and, deal with my vehicle issues.

Various Projects

As I mentioned, I have an upcoming show at the end of this month.  I'm also trying to keep things listed in my Zibbet shop.  So, I've been all over the place with my creations.

I'm painting frames, and, making magnetic boards.

I'm creating tags.

I gave my chippy pink frame I shared HERE,  a chalkboard/magnetic board.

I'm painting silhouettes.

The frame in the next photo is made of clay.  The box is paper mache,  painted, and decoupaged.

I'll share more later.  Gotta get back to work.

Quite Busy

I'm going in a hundred directions right now.

I have an upcoming show, upcoming workshops, custom requests, blah, blah, blah.

I'm busy painting, redesigning, planning, etc.

Just thought I'd share a few photos.

More Chipping

I LUV how this planter turned out.

I was able to get the, weathered finish I wanted.  I wanted it to look like it had been left out in the yard.

The underside is what it looked like before.

After lots of layering, and, a bit of experimenting with mediums, this is what I got.

I've mentioned that I will be very busy this year.  Conducting a series of workshops will be one of my endeavors.  Participants will be taught multiple ways to achieve weathered, aged, rusty, and, chippy finishes. Tips, tricks, and some of my unorthodox techniques will be a part of the experience. There will be lots of Q and A.

The Perfect Hook

While digging through my stash of vintage hooks, I found the perfect one for the wood heart I painted.

Do you know why it's the perfect hook?  Take a closer look.

That's right, there's a little heart in the center.

Honestly, I didn't notice it, until I starting attaching it.

In case you didn't notice, I gave the heart a little more aging, and cracking.  This is how it looked the last time I shared it with you.

Now, I'm done.

I have an identical heart I'm about to give a hook.  I wish I had another "perfect hook".

In The Pink

Oh, how I wish I'd taken a before of this frame.  I have so much going on right now, I just wanted to get it done.

I added about five layers of paint, distressing, and chipping along the way.

This particular shade of pink is my own custom mix.

You can see the gold, and, shades of grey underneath.

I finished it with wax.
