Earlier this summer I purchased a shelf, with the intention to sell it at one of my shows. I loved the little fleur-de-lis design. Well......
It did not sell in it's original gold tone finish.
It did not sell after I painted it white.
The other day, I was moving it out of my way, when I took another look, and, envisioned tags.
Bye, bye, fleur-de-lis shelf. Hello, fleur-de-lis tags.
Bye, bye, fleur-de-lis shelf. Hello, fleur-de-lis tags.
I removed the little fleur-de-lis. I gave them a rusty, weathered, distressed white finish.
Then I added a hole, and, hemp string.
They make nice tags.
No, I did not toss the shelf. I'm planning to redesign it.
See ya soon.
They are really beautiful as tags. Your finishes are always so authentic looking.
