After a very busy year, I didn't realize just how tired I was, until I started resting. I've been resting, watching movies, baking, clearing my mind, etc.
As nice as it feels, I know I have to drag myself back into work mode. I started going through some of my vintage metal, doing a little painting, etc.
I'll be working on listings in my Etsy shop this weekend.
Plus, my shows will be starting again at the end of February. I know that time will fly by.
So, back to work, with a bit of lazing around thrown in here and there.
Rosemary, you couldn't do enough lazing around if you tried! Your creativity wouldn't stand for it. With that said, I can't believe how the holiday seemed to have fairly flown this particular year. I think it's probably because we crammed as many visits to different family members as we could. We enjoyed each and every one of them, but upon getting home, I was exhausted the moment I sat my suitcase down.
ReplyDeleteSince January 2nd, I've been looking at my desk and the stack of articles I must edit. I've even picked them up a time or two. I have promised myself I will complete the editing on 2 of them tomorrow. Little bites at a time; I hope you do that as well. I am so excited to visit your Etsy shop next week. Peace.
Yes, little bites at a time, Judy.
DeleteResting is good for that creative mind of yours and just think of all the new things you'll come up with while you're "resting"!!!
ReplyDeleteI already have some ideas brewing. The rest has definitely been worth it.
DeleteWe are all trying, having to drag oneself out of the relaxation mode.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
DeleteI just purchased the beautiful little clay heart from your Etsy shop! Are you going to do more clay pieces like it? So lovely!!! Rest up, you deserve it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Victoria. Yes, I'll have more clay items.

ReplyDeleteHi Rosemary New to your blog love it. Been painting stuff all my life. I;m now into painting silverplate have you used gesso on it? did you have to prime? would love to read from you your opinion on that. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYes, I've used gesso and chalk paint on silverplate. Getting the silverplate as clean as possible (maybe a little sanding too, depending on the paint you use) before you paint is the main thing.
