What A Difference A Finial Makes

Sometimes, one little thing can make a big difference.

This candle holder base was a bit lonely.

This fleur de lis finial was black when I found it,

but, after removing the paint, and, giving it a finish that better compliments the base,

it all comes together.

Now, on to the next project.

Continuing to play around with my vast stash of metal.

Beautiful Backdrops

Sometimes, as someone who likes to repurpose things, I can be an overthinker.

Although I have plans for some of the vintage tin I found at an estate sale recently,

simply using some of the panels as the piece of art they are is enough.

If you've been following me for any length of time, you know how much I love the old and worn.

All I did was clean the panel above. The naturally weathered paint, and rust make a beautiful statement.

So, I'll be working on a few projects by repurposing a panel or two, or three this weekend. However, several pieces will serve as backdrops and wall hangings.
